May 18, 2013 – Louisa and Marie property owners:
The Chain O?ÄôLakes Association has contracted to treat Curly Leaf Pondweed, an Aquatic Invasive Species in Louisa and Marie Lakes in 2013.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has granted to The Chain O?Äô Lakes Association a waiver of the requirement that the association obtain the signatures of approval of owners of lake-shore property. Instead, The Chain O?Äô Lakes Association will notify property owners of the treatment through alternate forms. This letter is one form that The Chain O?Äô Lakes Association is using to notify property owners. Other forms include notification on the Chain O?Äô Lakes Association web page:
With regard to the treatment for this year, 2013:
1. The proposed date for treatment: May 15, 2013, through
June 7, 2013
2. The target species for the treatment: Curly Leaf Pondweed
3. The method of control or product being used: EPA and MDA Registered Aquatic Herbicide
4.
