Charles Kraft, formerly of Minneapolis, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at his Kimball home. He was 67.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball with Pastor Steve Rowland officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Charles Milton Kraft was born June 12, 1942, in Aberdeen, S.D. to Earl and Irene (Broitzman) Kraft. He married Jill Krier on Jan. 12, 1990.

Charlie worked as a bricklayer for more than 40 years, retiring in 2003 from Gresser Concrete and Masonry where he had worked more than 20 years. He was a member of the Minnesota and North Dakota Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union. Charlie was an avid hunter and fisher, and he loved his farm.

Charlie is survived by his wife Jill; son Jeffrey (and Sheryl) of Appleton, Wisc.; grandchildren Robert, Joseph and Sarah; great-grandson Rylan; sisters Kathy Kraft of Coon Rapids, and Linda (and Doug) Johnson of Lilburn, Ga.; and nieces and nephews Charles (and Teresa) Newman of Monroe, Ga., Jerald (and Rachel) Kraft of Champlin, and Mandy Bradley of Andover.
