Cheryl Lund of Litchfield, formerly of St. Cloud died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. She was 82.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Ostmark Lutheran Church in rural Watkins, with Rev. Joseph Midthun officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Ostmark Lutheran Cemetery.
Cheryl E. Lund was born Aug. 10, 1934, to Dewey and Lucille (Pancake) Wortz, in Forest Prairie Township, Meeker County. She grew up
in Forest Prairie Township and graduated from Kimball High School in 1952. Cheryl was united in marriage May 16, 1953, to Lawrence Lund at the Ostmark Lutheran Church. They resided at various locations including Montana, and Bloomington, Minn., prior to moving to St. Cloud where Cheryl was employed as a waitress at Perkins for 40 years.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence in 1996; daughter Susan Cigar in 2013; daughter-in-law Kathleen Lund in 2015; sister Jeanette Leverty in 2009.
She is survived by her children Dana Lund of St. Joseph, Jeanna (and Larry) Nelson of South Haven; grandchildren Michelle (and Darby) Peacock of Baxter, Ryan (and Nicole) Riggs of Avon, Jeremy Lund of St. Cloud, Kristina Lund of Sartell; great-grandchildren Ty, Donovan, Camden, Kobi, Drew, Brandon, Brady, Tristan, Cayden, Alyssa, Laila, Chloe, Jacey, Skyyler, and Nevaeh; and sister Nancy (and Larry) Boreen of Grove City.
