‘Christmas in the Fort’

Get into the Holiday Spirit with the Runestone Museum in Alexandria during “Christmas in the Fort,” Friday, Nov. 23. Festivities begin, at 3 p.m. with Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving shortly afterwards. Admission to the Fort is free and snacks and beverages will be provided. Entertainment will include the Carolers of Alexandria, Zion Children’s Choir, and animals from Erickson’s Petting Zoo. Also enjoy the Parade of Trees featuring beautifully decorated trees by area businesses, and vote for your favorite tree. At dusk a local student will flip the switch to light up the entire historic downtown district with Christmas lights, kicking off the Holiday Season.
