A mission service sermon Apostolic Lutheran Church in Kingston will hold a special mission service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 17. Dennis Hilman will give the sermon and share information about his service in Russia. He will also talk about Russian congregational building. Ostmark Lutheran Homemade Ice Cream Social Ostmark Lutheran Churchmen homemade ice cream social will be 3-7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20 at their new church building in Watkins. They will be serving pie and homemade ice cream, hot dogs, BBQ’s, lemonade, milk and coffee. The event is sponsored by Ostmark Churchmen and supplemental funds are provided by Thrivent Chapter #31309. “Super Cool Underwater Bible Adventure” to be held at St. Gertrude’s From Sunday, Aug. 10 to Thursday, Aug. 14, St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Forest City will hold a vacation Bible school for area children. Sessions will be from 6:30-8:45 p.m. each night. A $5 registration fee is required. The event is sponsored by Ostmark Lutheran Church and St. Matthew’s Church of Christ.
