CRWD Work Session was called to order at 6 p.m. by Chairperson John Tracy. Managers John Tracy, Marvin Brunsell, Virl Liebrenz and Roland Froyen were present. Manager Klein was absent. Administrator Merle Anderson was also in attendance. Motion #WS03-06-01: Motion Froyen, seconded by Brunsell, to accept the agenda, with the addition of planning manager Clarence Klein’s retirement appreciation. All managers voted aye. Managers suggested that administrator Anderson develop a draft itinerary and guest list for manager Klein’s retirement appreciation event, tentatively scheduled for Aug. 27. Administrator Anderson reviewed the project priority list. Managers will review and discuss the following at a later date: 1. Reshape funding 2. Conduct public hearing to reallocate restoration project funds 3. Implement measures to address hot spots as indicated by Year 2002 Water Monitoring 4. Revise Project List 5. Develop partnerships to implement projects 6. Consider use of storm water utilities funding process 7. Identify problem areas that need to be fixed – how should we do that? 8. Consider accepting Meeker County ditches Administrator Anderson informed the board that Wright County Commissioner Karla Heeter would attend the next regularly scheduled meeting to discuss Wright County zoning standards regarding flood-plain filling. The CRWD Board of Managers reviewed the United States Geological Survey proposal and indicated their interest in studying lakebed sediment distribution and lakebed sediment phosphorus content. Managers also suggested that administrator   Anderson contact Dr. Neal Voelz of St. Cloud State University regarding the university’s involvement in this study.  Administrator Anderson distributed pictures by DNR that showed how they repaired streambank erosion on Willow Creek. Minutes of the June 4 CRWD Special Meeting were distributed and will be considered at the next regularly scheduled meeting. A letter outlining the conditions placed on Lakes of Fair-haven Development by Stearns County was distributed.  Restawhile Shores Community Sanitary Sewer System was discussed. Motion #WS03-06-02: Motion Froyen, seconded by Liebrenz, to authorize payment of $1,490 to Mares Construction and $910 to GNO Construction for bog removal and $358.77 to administrator Anderson for MAWD Tour expenses. All managers voted aye. Motion #WS03-06-03: Motion Brunsell, seconded by Liebrenz, to adjourn. All managers voted aye.
