Citizens?Äô Climate Lobby offering Climate Advocate Training Workshop Saturday, April 29, in the St. Cloud Great River Library
The St. Cloud Chapter of Citizens?Äô Climate Lobby is offering a Climate Advocate Training workshop 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the St. Cloud Great River Library. The session is free and will teach citizens the nuts and bolts of building political will and affecting change in positive, constructive ways.
Citizens?Äô Climate Lobby (CCL) has a unique approach of achieving change through building positive, respectful relationships with lawmakers and focusing on specific market-based, consumer-
friendly solutions that have received support from conservatives and liberals alike. The workshop includes mini-lobbying training.
Citizens?Äô Climate Lobby is non-partisan and has an active and growing Conservative Caucus. The organization is interested in new, conservative members concerned about protecting our families and communities from the costs and risks of extreme weather.
?ÄúCitizens?Äô Climate Lobby members here in St. Cloud, and all over the country, are telling us their lives changed since they became involved with CCL,?Äù said Lee Morgan, group leader of the St. Cloud chapter. ?ÄúThey tell us they were worried about climate change and were looking for a way to make a difference. They are grateful CCL is showing them how, and that there is a group of wonderful people working together for the same goal. We want to offer more of our neighbors the same opportunity.?Äù
In addition to lobbying, there will be varied roles for volunteers depending on individual interests. All are welcome to attend. Since refreshments will be served at the April 29, meeting, please RSVP to (320) 274-5425.
