The Watkins Clippers traveled to St. Nicholas to take on the Nicks on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, June 11. The Clippers bookended the game with four-run innings, ending with a 9-2 victory.
Carson Geislinger hit a triple and a single, for 3 RBI, for the Clippers. Dan Berg hit a pair of singles for 2 RBI. Linc Haugen, Carter Block, Brendan Ashton, Nolan Geislinger, and Gavin Mathies hit a single apiece.
Matt Geislinger earned the win for the Clippers, pitching six innings. He struck out 10 and walked 2 while allowing 3 hits. Carson Geislinger pitched three innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 5.
Dylan Rausch is tagged with the loss for his six innings on the mound. He struck out 3 and walked 2, but allowed 5 runs on 5 hits. Connor Lincoln pitched three innings, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits while striking out 3 and walking 4.
Tanner Rausch homered at the top of the ninth for the Nicks, but it was far too little too late to catch up. Damian Lincoln hit a pair of singles. Connor Lincoln, Dylan Rausch, Derek Kuechle, and Alex Foehrenbacher each hit a single for the Nicks.
