Kimball Area High School is fortunate to have willing neighbors. Kimball has 10 sports that are co-op activities with neighbor schools. We share six sports with Eden Valley-Watkins: boys?Äô and girls?Äô Cross Country, golf and track. St. Cloud Tech has a pool and is willing to share with our students for girls?Äô swimming. Maple Lake has a gymnastics area, and is willing to let our athletes fill their roster. Alpine skiing has quite a few schools combined to put together a competitive group of athletes competing by using the ski hill in Kimball. All of the sports mentioned would be difficult for Kimball to compete in without the help of another district or multiple schools helping out. In order to compete at a high level, it?Äôs important to have facilities and a large number of athletes participating.
Please remember that our students are not concerned about who?Äôs name is listed first, what school colors or uniforms are utilized, where the practices or events are held, but rather that we are fortunate to partner with other districts to create an opportunity that wouldn?Äôt be possible without combining schools to create a team.
This spring, both golf and track have a record number of athletes competing. Coaches have done an outstanding job in recruiting students to come out and build a cohesive team by working with athletes from both schools. Congratulations to those athletes and coaches involved with all the Kimball?Äôs co-op sports.
