We have seen some fog recently across Minnesota with the melting of the snow and fairly light winds. This has made for some travel difficulties at times, particularily late at night and early in the morning.
We started off the week with very mild temperatures for this time of the year. High temperatures Monday were in the mid- to upper-30s, and even some -lower-40s. I hope all of you had a chance to enjoy these mild temps.
We had a change in the weather pattern move into Minnesota late Monday night into Tuesday. This brought some rain and a wintry mix to parts of the state.
For Wednesday, expect some light snow possible at times as a cold front pushes across Minnesota. With the snow, there will also be strong winds gusting to 35 to 40 mph that could reduce visibility. At this stage, accumulations don’t look to be significant.
Colder weather will be with us for Wednesday and Thursday before we rebound back into the 30s over the weekend.
By the way, temperatures look to trend cooler than normal for the long-range outlook for the last week in February.
