A city wide “community night out” is planned for Friday, June 18. The purpose of this event is to get everyone to go out and meet your neighbors. Pot lucks are planned in different locations throughout the city beginning at 6 p.m. Guests are asked to bring a dish to share and to provide your own dishes, beverages and chairs. Those who are hosting potlucks should send invitations to the people in their area. The city, police and fire departments will all be involved in this event. This is the first year for the community night out and it will most likely require fine-tuning next year, but we would like everyone to take part in it and have fun learning together. Hosts for the evening are still needed. If anyone is interested in participating as a host or if you do not receive an invitation, call Chris Jeppesen at city hall at (320) 398-2725. Watch for final details in next week’s Tri-County News. Chris Jeppesen, Coordinator
