Concealing a controlled condiment?

Let me tell you about the dumbest bill ever submitted to the Minnesota Legislature. You could face 270 days in jail if you brought glass bottles of ketchup, mustard and pickles to a picnic on a pontoon boat. You could do three months in jail if you brought a jar of cold cream went you went to the beach for sunbathing. You could do a year-and-a-half behind bars if you had a six-pack of Buddy’s pop from New Ulm in your ski-boat. Under a bill introduced by Rep. Andy Welti (DFL-Plainview), you could be sentenced to up to 90 days for every glass container you have on a public beach or on a watercraft. Can you imagine the poor prisoner who is asked,   “What are you in for, kid?” It would be dangerous to answer “90 days for possession of a jar of olives.” Talk to your local representatives, and tell them to kill House File 522. The condiment you save may be your own. State Rep. Steve Smith (R-Mound) District 33A
