Jeffrey Milton Schmidt, 47, of Kimball was convicted of false imprisonment and domestic assault, the offenses were committed Sept. 15, 2002, and investigated by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department. Sentencing was merged and imposition of sentencing was stayed. The sentence includes three years probation; 90 days in jail; and payment of a $1,000 fine and $1,242.40 restitution. Schmidt must also undergo a domestic abuse evaluation and comply with recommendations; abstain from alcohol and non-prescribed mood-altering substances; submit to random urinalysis; and provide a DNA sample. Sentenced by Judge Widick Monday, June 7, 2004.
