The Stearns County Community Corrections Advisory Board is seeking representatives to serve on its Adult or Juvenile Services committees. The committees are made up of representatives from the local criminal justice system, social services, education, minority groups, crime victims and lay citizens. They make recommendations to the County Board of Commissioners concerning correctional services provided to adult or juvenile offenders, crime victims and citizens in Stearns County. Services include prevention, diversion, probation and parole, as well as services for the confinement, care and treatment of offenders. The Adult Services Committee needs to fill the following vacancies: One corrections professional, one law enforcement, one prosecutor, one public education, and one lay citizen from District #1. The Juvenile Services Committee has the following vacancies. Three spots for high school youth, one corrections professional, and one lay citizen from District #1 Applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 28. Faxes are accepted.
