Crysteel Manufacturing acquires J-Craft

Crysteel Manufacturing, Inc. of Lake Crystal, MN, has announced the acquisition of truck equipment manufacturer J-Craft, Inc. of Kimball, MN. The acquisition, finalized on June 8, is aimed at enhancing and expanding Crysteel’s presence in the upper Midwest. J-Craft began operations in 1978, and its products serve the construction, contractor, landscaping, municipal and agricultural markets.

Crysteel Manufacturing, Inc. is a leading hoist, platform and dump body producer, with over 300 distributors worldwide, including all 50 states. Crysteel began producing truck hoists in 1969 in Arlington, MN. In 1970 a facility was opened in Lake Crystal, MN.

Today, the Lake Crystal-based company has grown to 260 employees, including a second manufacturing facility in Fulton, NY. Crysteel produces a complete line of dump bodies and hoists, as well as grain bodies, farm bodies and platforms, military dump bodies and custom bodies.
