Cub’s Baseball Update

Pierz game Kimball Area High School baseball lost to Pierz on Tuesday, May 13, 0-3. Craig Henneman pitched six strong innings, but the Cubs couldn’t generate any runs as they stranded 11 runners on-base. Eric Voigt led the Cubs with two hits. Cubs vs. St. John’s Prep Kimball beat St. John’s Prep at Dick Putz field in St. Cloud on Thursday, May 15. The Cubs pounded out 11 hits; highlights include homeruns by Kyle Winter, Voigt and Tom Libbesmeier. Aaron Rossman got the win for the Cubs by pitching the last three innings. Paul Hughes and Ben Stockinger pitched the first four innings of the game. Upcoming games Kimball will head into their sub-section playoff game against Rockford at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, at Rockford. The Cubs have split the regular season meetings with Rockford by wining the first game, 8-7, and then losing in the last inning of their second game, 11-12. The Cubs will have a make-up game aginst Howard Lake-Waverly at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 23, at the Pearl Lake field.
