Cubs basketball loses to Paynesville

The Kimball Cubs boys’ basketball team fell to the Paynesville Bulldogs Tuesday, Dec. 9, 72-34. The Bulldogs led 24-8 after the first quarter and never looked back. The Cubs were led by senior forward Preston Looman, who finished the game with 10 points. Joe Masberg and Aaron Rossman followed with eight points and seven points, respectively. Derek Kunkel also contributed six points and had three assists. The Cubs hope for revenge against the Bulldogs Monday, Dec. 22, during the Kimball Invitational in the Leo Wirth Gymnasium.
