Cubs drop dual to Osakis

Coming out of the Holiday break, the Cubs opened the -season at the Osakis Duals event on Friday, Jan. 10. At this dual event, the Cubs fell to the host team Silverstreaks by a 53-9 final.

In the loss, the Cubs picked up two wins. Jonny Serbus (152) secured a 17-10 decision over Demetrius Redetzke, and Mark Schiefelbein (160), ranked sixth at Class A 152 pounds, secured a pin at the 1:01 mark.

In the loss, the Cubs fell by pin in five matches and lost by forfeit in two matches. Both teams forfeited at 189 pounds.

Notably, the Cubs also dropped a pair of major decisions. Lance Schiefelbein (107) fell by a 10-1 major decision to Guy Steinbeisser, and Ryder Schwieters (133) lost by a 19-10 major decision to Zackery Bruder.
