The Kimball Cubs boys’ basketball team lost to the Lester Prairie Bulldogs, 64-43, in the last game of the Kimball Boys’ Basketball Invitational Dec. 30. The Cubs trailed 18-6 after one quarter and never avenged the deficit. The Bulldogs led 33-19 at halftime and 50-24 at the end of the third quarter. The Cubs contributed 19 points in the fourth quarter to end with a final score of 64-43. Preston Looman and Aaron Rossman each added eight points in the losing effort, and Eric Voigt chipped in seven points in his first action since Dec. 9. Carl Stein and Joe Masberg each contributed five points for the Cubs. The team hopes to rebound against the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles on Jan. 6, in the opening game of the Central Minnesota Conference schedule which will be played in Kimball.
