The New London-Spicer Wildcats traveled to Kimball to take on the Cubs last Thursday. The game was close throughout. Kimball tied the score at three in the bottom of the second inning. The Wildcats answered with one in the third and were able to hold on for a 7-4 victory.
The pitching nod went to Austin Donnay to start for the Cubs. He threw 5.2 innings allowing seven runs (three earned) on five hits. Austin struck out 12 and walked six. Carter Lyrek finished up and struck out the last batter he faced.
Kimball struggled at the plate collecting only four hits in the game. Donnay had two hits while Greg Antigua and Brandon Guggisberg had the others. Donnay scored three runs for the Cubs and had one of the two RBI. Alan Schmidt had the other Cub RBI and Antigua scored the other run.
