Kimball advanced to the championship by defeating Ogilvie 71-44 on Friday, Dec. 27. Highlights of the game included a 19-point, nine rebound game for Aaron Rossman. Kyle Wurm also had 13 points and ten assists for the Cubs. The Cubs came out hot in the first quarter hitting three three-point baskets to take a 24-7 lead. Kimball lost the championship game on Saturday night to Lester Prairie 71-33. Kyle Wurm had 13 points and five steals and Aaron Rossman had eight points for the Cubs. The Cubs shot 25 percent from the field and only shot five free-throws for the game. The Cubs will try to rebound by facing A.C.G.C. at home on Friday, Jan. 3, at 7:30 p.m., with the J.V. game starting at 6:15 p.m. The Kimball Cubs J.V. lost two close games, the first was to Ogilvie 52-41. Nick Stein and Randy Saukkola led the Cubs with eight points each. In the final game Kimball lost to Lester Prairie 46-44. Paul Hughes led the Cubs with eight points.
