Friday Dec. 9, the boys?Äô C-squad took on Royalton. The boys narrowly fell by a score of 32-23. At halftime, the Cubs were down by a score of 20-12. We cut the lead to 5 mid-way through the second half, but could not get any closer. Overall, the Cubs played solid defense for the entire game, but could not get any offense going. Royalton played a zone against us which caused us to take tough shots, force a lot of passes. We have not worked on a lot of zone offense so far this season.
Jack Knaus led the Cubs?Äô scoring with 10 points. I was proud of the way that all the guys battled the entire game. Overall, we made some good strides this first week. Now we have a full week of practice before our next game to work on some of the areas we struggled in. Our next game is at home on Tuesday, Dec. 20, against Annandale.
