The D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) had a graduation program Wednesday, Dec. 2, at the Kimball Elementary School. The fifth-grade classes of Mrs. Herrington and Mrs. Niemi were presented with their D.A.R.E. Certificates.
Stearns County Deputy and D.A.R.E. Officer DeAnn Heinen gave the welcome and introduction, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Sergeant Phil Meemken gave a K-9 Presentation with K-9 “Officer Cooper.”
Two students from each of the fifth-grade classes presented their essays. They were Jordan Dockery and Payton Hanan from Mrs. Herrington’s class, and Andrew Massmann and Emily Utecht from Mrs. Niemi’s class.
We congratulate these young people. In attendance with fifth-grade teachers and students were school principal Mr. Clark,Kimball Police Chief Jim Frilstad, and law-enforcement officers DeAnn Heinen, Jode Boldt, and Sergeant Phil Meemken with “Cooper.”
