Local County Extension Offices in McLeod, Meeker, Kandi-yohi and Renville counties will sponsor a Dairy Meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the McLeod County Extension Office in Hutchinson. Dr. Gary Neubauer will explain the what, how and why of mastitis control. Dr. Jeff Reneau, University of Minnesota Veterinarian, will discuss cold weather management and attitudes on lowering somatic cell counts. Finally, Jim Salfer, regional extension educator, will review how good records can help identify strong and weak points in your dairy herd.
