The Dec. 1 meeting of the Dassel Lamplighters 4-H Club was held at the Dassel Covenant Church basement. We discussed whether or not we would do a Club Banner this year. We decided to create a sub-committee to work on the Club Banner.
We also did fun Christmas-themed activities like Secret Santa, and we decorated birthday bags called “Birthday in a Bag” for the Cokato Food Shelf. This bag included: A pan, candles, party hat(s), streamers, frosting, balloons, cake batter, and a soda.
Simon and Cora Johanek did a demonstration on how to make sock Christmas gnomes.
The next meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Collinwood Park sledding hill.
