December minutes summary from Kimball school board
The board hired two paraprofessionals and a speech coach, and accepted resignations from two high school paraprofessionals and a part-time custodian.
The principals reported on student cell phone use in school, Snow Days activities, donation of Stop the Bleed kits, social media activity, a student travel committee made up of staff members, elementary music programs, PIE basket raffle, new student tours, current enrollment, Toys for Tots gifts received, speech positions, staff breakfast, and student caroling.
The superintendent gave a construction update, reminded board of the MSBA Conference, 2024-2025 calendar progress, assessment work session, speech needs, and moving the January meeting to the 8th.
The board certified the 2023 Payable 2024 Levy, adopted a resolution authorizing administration to review staffing and move forward with recommendations for reductions, added a student activity account, approved two policies, approved the Master Agreement for 2023-2025, and approved moving forward with plans for a student trip to Ireland in June 2025.
The next meeting is Monday, Jan. 8, at 6 p.m.
