DeEtta “Tod” Jean Whiteoak of Buffalo passed away at Park View Care Center in Buffalo June 13, 2003. She was 69 years old. Memorial services were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 15, at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Delburn Kurtz officiating. Friends called from 12:30 p.m. until the service began, Sunday. Interment was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. DeEtta was born August 17, 1933, in Kimball, to Noris and Bertha Hilary. She moved to Minneapolis and later Buffalo where she lived for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Buffalo Post 270 American Legion Auxiliary, Buffalo Hospital Auxiliary and Maple Lake Post 7664 V.F.W Auxiliary. DeEtta was preceded in death by her parents Noris and Bertha Hilary. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Edward Whiteoak of Buffalo; son Michael (and Thea) and grandson Cole Pulkrabek of Blackhawk, S.D.; bro-thers Lee (and Willie) Hilary of Crystal, Elmer (and Irma) Hilary of Zimmerman; Neil (and Sally) Hilary of Kimball; sister Lillian (and Donovan) Petty of Kimball; sister-in-law Lilia Wiggins of Minneapolis; brother-in-law James (and Betty) Whiteoak of Mankato; as well as many nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Arrangements were made by The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo.
