District 8 Holstein Show

The District 8 Holstein Show Committee is a non-profit, representative group of Holstein breeders from Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Kandiyohi, Morrison and Crow Wing Counties, and their respective Holstein Clubs affiliated with the Minnesota Holstein Association for the promotion of Holstein cattle in the area.

The 2017 District 8 Holstein Show will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Sauk Rapids. The show will be held with the Benton County Fair Open Class Dairy Show. The official judge is Chuck Will from Underwood, Minn. Exhibitors will be from Benton, Kandiyohi, Sherburne, Morrison, Stearns, and Crow Wing counties.

All animals exhibited must have a Holstein Association USA identification paper and be accompanied by certificates. The show will follow state health requirements. Area Holstein breeders, as well as Junior, 4-H, and FFA members, are encouraged to participate. Contact Mary Swart of New London for more information on exhibiting. Entry deadline is

A youth showmanship contest will be at the conclusion of the show. The dairy royalty will present the awards. Various business firms in the district are sponsoring trophies. Exhibitors and spectators are invited.
