Dollars For Scholars third annual gala

The third annual Kimball Area Dollars for Scholars “Dare to Dream” gala will be held on Saturday, May 18, at the Kimball Elementary School. The theme for this year’s auction/gourmet meal/live band will be a “Western Hoedown”. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. The cost for the event is $25 per person. Once again, there will be a $500 wildcard scholarship drawing. Your ticket will be your chance for a Kimball Area School student’s name (of your choice) to be entered in the drawing. In addition, all scholarships given through the Dollars for Scholars organization will be awarded that evening. This year we will award five $1,000 Dollars for Scholars scholarships from the profits we made at the 2001 Gala. In 2001 community organizations, under the Dollars for Scholars umbrella, gave $7,600 in the form of 16 scholarships.

Tickets for the “Dare to Dream” gala are available at the high school, elementary and district offices, State Bank of Kimball, from Dollars for Scholars members, and through the mail (complete the information below). There is limited seating for this year’s gala, so get your tickets early.

Kimball Area Dollars for Scholars is a non-profit organization aimed at raising scholarship money to be given to the graduates of Kimball Area High School.
