The Brad and Leanne Donnay family of Kimball have been honored by the U of M at a statewide recognition event Aug. 24 at the Minnesota State Fair. The Donnay’s were among 53 farm families from 44 Minnesota counties who were acknowledged by the University. The families were recognized for their contributions to the agricultural industry, their communities and the state. Farm families who received honors demonstrated a commitment to enhancing and supporting agriculture and agricultural production. The Donnay family was also recognized for “new agricultural initiative” efforts. They are now milking 500 goats and processing all of the milk into cheese, chevre being their top seller.
