Driver strikes tree

At about 2:50 p.m. Friday, April 11, Ronald Simpson, 86 of Annandale, was driving his 2016 Subaru Forester westbound on Highway 55 at Fairhaven Avenue in South Haven when he lost control, went off the road, and collided with a tree. The State Patrol report cites no alcohol involved, and that Simpson was wearing a seat belt.

Simpson was transported to Buffalo Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Assisting the Minnesota State Patrol were the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Allina Ambulance, and South Haven Fire.
