Earl Kadechka, formerly of South Haven, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. He was 89.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring.
Earl Kadechka was born Aug. 5, 1933, in Richland County, N.D., to Ray and Ethel (Schuett) Kadechka. He married Glenda Waterstraat in November 1952, and they divorced in 1984.
Earl was the proud owner of Capitol Press in St. Paul for decades; he was a printer his whole professional life. He was a past Master of the Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed the many parades and events he participated in as the clown “Early” with the Osman Shriners. Earl enjoyed his time on Lake Sylvia, watching the birds, working in his flower garden, spending time with his family, and playing cards. Earl retired in 1994, and he moved to Arizona in 2021.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Donna Carlson.
He is survived by his children James (and Dianne) Kadechka, Ray Kadechka, and Teresa (and Bill) Strouts; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces, and many friends.
