I’m excited to inform you about the election results of Eden Valley Area Chamber’s annual meeting, held March 11. Effective immediately, the following changes will take place: Past President – Nancy McNab, President – Caitlin Schneider (Interiors by Cait), VP – Andrea Berger (A Maze’n Farmyard), Secretary – Kris Kelm (Thrivent), Treasurer – Vienna Meyers (Elevate Nutrition/Cozy Corners), Board Member – Tiffany Press (Press Agency-American Family), Board Member – Lori Teicher (County Line Engraving), and Board Member – Brandi Hansen (Central MN Realty).
I am proud to say that, for the first time in several years, every member of the Chamber Board owns and operates a local business.
I want to take a minute to express my gratitude for the kindness and support I’ve received from Eden Valley’s business community since I became part of the board in 2019, first as Vice President, then President. Even though I didn’t own or manage a local business, my background in retail and management, along with the aid of my fellow board members, helped me lead this organization to the best of my ability. Both Judy Thielen and Michelle Hanson chose not to run for an additional term but will remain as Chamber Members. We wish to thank them both for their service.
I want to say a special “thank you” to Judy Thielen! We have been together on several committees and organizations since 2010. Together, we were able to achieve some great things for our Chamber: creating the website, growing a larger Facebook presence, and adding programs and events designed to bring the community together. We worked well as a team and I can truly say, I couldn’t have done this without her, and wouldn’t have wanted to.
I’m excited to see what your new Eden Valley Area Chamber Board accomplishes. Five of the current board members have been with us for the past year, and have already made incredible contributions. Their mission is for you as a business, and Eden Valley as a community, to grow and thrive.
