Eden Valley art show successful

·

Student artwork was on display Thursday and Friday evenings last week, along with artwork created by community members, in the Eden Valley Community Center (behind the Library). Students and their families, and community members as well were able to enjoy the varied art styles on display.

On Saturday, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., there were demonstrations of quilting, diamond painting, 3-D printing, and Ukrainian Easter eggs. Mary (Kerzman) Haag also played her hammered dulcimer, mountain lap dulcimer, and psaltry as visitors browsed the various exhibits.

Saturday also was the annual Carolyn Becher Scholarship Fundraiser: visitors could purchase a hand-crafted ceramic bowl made by Mr. Kulzer and his art students, with the $10 going toward the scholarship fund in Mrs. Becher’s name. (Results were not yet available as of press time.)

Thank you to the stalwart volunteers who pulled this all together. Thank you to the participants who shared their artwork and creativity. And thank you to everyone who braved the wind and sleet to come and enjoy the arts with their friends and neighbors.
