Edith Splan, originally of Kimball, died Jan. 6, 2005, in Yuma, Ariz. She was 88. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Maine Prairie Cemetery in Kimball with Pastor Jerry Albert officiating. Following the services a luncheon will be served at Stanley’s Family Restaurant in Kimball. Edith Margurite Cornall was born in Kimball to Elvin and Tenny Cornall. She grew up in Kimball and moved to California with her family in 1941. She lived mostly in California and Arizona, making many return trips to Minnesota to visit with relatives and friends.  Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and sisters Madeline Johnson, Isabel Johnson and Roselle “Bud” Cornall. She is survived by her husband Bill Splan of Yuma, Ariz.; children Darlene Walters Dorr of Reseda, Calif., and William “Bill” Walters; step-children Cheryl, Shirley and Patricia Splan; grandchildren Chris Dorr; Lecia and Dana Walters; and many friends and other relatives.  Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
