Ehlinger family insurance legacy continues with a new chapter

·

After nearly 40 years of dedicated service to the Kimball and Waite Park communities, Tom Ehlinger is stepping into retirement, passing the torch of his agency to his son Isaiah Ehlinger. Since 1985, Tom has been a trusted figure in the insurance industry. He has built a reputation for integrity, personalized service, and a deep commitment to protecting the dreams of local families and businesses.

As Tom reflects on his remarkable career, he shared his excitement about the future: “Working alongside Isaiah for the past four years, I have complete confidence in his ability to lead this agency with the same integrity and commitment we’ve consistently demonstrated to our clients. His dedication and vision for the future makes him the right person to build on the strong foundation we’ve established.”

Isaiah, who officially takes over on Feb. 1, is honored to follow in his father’s footsteps. With four years of experience, and having worked in nearly every agency role, Isaiah is well prepared to take on this leadership position.

Before beginning his insurance career, Isaiah served six years in the U.S. Air Force, including a distinguished role with the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. This experience instilled in him a dedication to service and leadership that he brings to his work every day.

Isaiah, his wife Becky (Holtz), and their three children – Stella (2), Patrick (1), and newborn Carson – reside in the Kimball area. “Continuing my dad’s legacy while building a vision for the future is an exciting challenge,” Isaiah said. “Our agency has always been about protecting what matters most to families, and I’m looking forward to serving our community with the same care and dedication that have defined us for decades.”

Tom’s retirement marks the end of an era for the Ehlinger agency, but Isaiah and the team are committed to continuing the same trusted service that clients have come to know and rely on. Both the Kimball and Waite Park offices remain fully open, staffed by the amazing team members you’ve come to know: agency manager Susan Maus, sales manager Denise Donnay, branch manager Christy Louwagie, and client services Jessica Schoumaker and Theresa Faber. Together, they will continue to serve as a reliable resource for insurance solutions in Central Minnesota.

Watch for an announcement this spring of an open house to celebrate Tom’s retirement!
