Eighth-grade boys basketball ends season

This year we learned a lot about the game of basketball. We struggled a little bit at the beginning of the season because we were trying to find our identity as a team. I put my focus on defense, and the kids really grasped onto that concept more than I could?Äôve ever hoped. We made progress every day at practice and the guys really brought an intensity that helped them learn the game and made them better basketball players. I am extremely proud of these eighth-graders because of the way they conducted themselves as young men, on and off the court. The end of the season didn?Äôt turn out the way they wanted it to, but I believe that they will come out next year looking to improve on a great season this year.
