The Kimball Sports Booster Club hosted an elementary girls’ basketball tournament Saturday, Jan. 30, at Kimball Area High School. Many volunteers from the community, basketball and football teams helped with concessions, clock and stats at the tournament. There were three grades: fourth, fifth, and sixth. Kimball had a team at each grade level. The sixth-grade girls won all three of their games to take first place. For their first game, they took on Litchfield, their second game was against Holdingford, and for the championship game, the girls took on Maple Lake. The girls came out with great defence and good passes to win the final game by a score of 25 to 7. The sixth grade is coached by Tom and Kelli Schreiner. Congratulations to all the girls.
