Elmer Branson of Kimball died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. He was 76.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Apostolic Lutheran Church in Kingston, with Pastor Orval Wirkkala officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery in the spring.
Elmer A. Branson was born Sept. 23, 1930, to Edward and Agnes Branson. They moved to Meeker County in the 1930s, and then to the Kimball area in the early 1940s. Elmer was in the Air Force from 1950-1954, serving in the Korean War. He worked at various jobs afterward, and later moved back to the farm in Kimball.
Melvin was preceded in death by his mother and father, several uncles and aunts, and his grandparents.
He is survived by sister Jo Ann (and Frank) Mack, niece Cynthia (and Justin) Arrington, nephew Curtis (and Karen) Mack and their children Sheena (and Robert) Brazington and son Naithyn, Adam Blamires, Katelen Blamires, Nicholas and Noah Mack, all of Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church.
