Emma Pringnitz, daughter of Lyle and Darcy Pringnitz was recently chosen as Kingston delegate to the 2014 Girls State. This will take place Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20, at St. Thomas University in St. Paul.
Emma is sponsored by the Johnson Kelly Post 483 American Legion Auxiliary in Kingston.
Minnesota Girls State is a program which emphasizes Americanism and good citizenship.
Participants learn government by living it and carrying out the process. They learn by experiencing both the privileges and duties of citizenship and are encouraged to become leaders of the future.
