Enjoy ‘Greatest Generation’ music at KAHS

Acclaimed jazz vocalist Rhonda Laurie will perform a concert of songs from the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s in a concert called “Happy Days Are Here Again” at the Kimball Area High School cafetorium beginning at 7 p.m. Friday,

March 9. The concert is sponsored by the Kimball Public Library. Laurie and her band will take you on a journey through the music of the Greatest Generation. “Sentimental Journey,” “Dream a Little Dream,” and “My Favorite Things” are just a few of the songs you will enjoy during this 90-minute show. Laurie began her musical career as a cabaret singer in Manhattan nightclubs. In Minnesota she has performed at many locations including the Dakota Jazz Club, the Minnesota History Center, and the Lake Harriet Bandshell. All ages are invited to enjoy her show, which is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
