Owners: Dave and Nancy Knutson
Founded: The original business was J.M. Ertl & Sons. Tom Ertl, son of Al Ertl, purchased the business that became Ertl Hardware. In December 2008, Dave and Nancy purchased the business and kept the name.
Employees: We have six part-time employees from surrounding communities.
What do we do? We are a retail business selling hardware, paint, appliances, grass seed and fertilizer, and garden seeds. We also do window screen repair, pipe-cutting and threading, and we carry bait and tackle.
What sets us apart? We have most everything you need all in one place. As the saying goes, ?ÄúIf Ertl doesn?Äôt have it, they will get it for you.?Äù We have that home-town feeling when you walk in the door. We do free delivery, and we?Äôll recycle your old appliances for free.
Karen Donnay, Bill Tschumperlin, Dave Knutson, and Chuck Hunt: some of the knowledgeable staff on-hand at Ertl Hardware in Watkins.
Who are our customers? Local businesses and individuals, Eden Valley-Watkins and Kimball schools, and surrounding cities and communities.
Community involvement: We donate money, gift certificates, or products to local schools, churches, organizations, the Sportsman?Äôs Club, and Kraut N Wurst Days.
