Students at Eden Valley-Watkins have been gearing up for 2019 Sno Daze with tryouts for the Variety Show, and coronation practice.
The week of fun kicks off Monday, Jan. 28, with “Minnesota Monday” dress-up theme. A dodgeball tournament, freshmen vs juniors, is at noon. And The Variety Show/Coronation will be Monday afternoon, with coronation beginning at around 2:15 p.m. in the Johnson-Peterson Gym..
Tuesday, Jan. 29, is Pajama Day. Sophomores face seniors for the noon Dodgeball tournament. Tuesday evening, the Eagles play boys’ basketball at Pierz, while the girls host Albany.
Wednesday, Jan. 30, is Blackout Day at EV-W. The Dodgeball consolation game starts at noon, and Sno Daze lunch is Tony’s Pizza and build-your-own sundae. The juniors vs seniors boys Ironman Volleyball Competition is scheduled for fifth hour, with the winning team taking on the Staff All-Stars.
Thursday is Jersey Day. The Dodgeball championship game begins at noon. Thursday evening the Lady Eagles will play at BBE, Gymnastics meet is at Paynesville, and EV-W wrestling is hosting a triangular meet that starts at 5 p.m.
Friday is “Preppy Friday.” The National Guard inflatable confidence course will be set up during SOAR hour/lunch. The EV-W Music Department Chili Supper is from 4-8 p.m. Friday evening. The Eagles host Kimball for boys’ basketball Friday, as well; at halftime there will be a 76-second challenge for Hooping 4 a Cure fundraiser for cancer. Everyone is encouraged to wear purple, the color of cancer awareness, to the Friday night game!
The week will wind down with Sno Daze Game Night Saturday evening, from 7-11 p.m.
