Opening the season at home, Thursday, April 10, the Eagles topped Lester Prairie/Holy
Trinity by a touchdown, 14-7. Eden Valley-Watkins got off to a slow start, but they eventually knocked off the rust, tallying eight runs in the third inning and adding six more in the fifth. Coach Mike Tomsche is happy to get that first win under his belt. ?ÄúWe started out a bit shaky but came up with some timely hitting when we needed it. Austin Schlangen and Logan Linn, who got the win, both threw pretty well.?Äù Senior catcher Matt Unterberger had a good day, going 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI. Teammate Austin Schlangen helped the cause with a single and a double.
