EV-W boys play double-header… plus one

·

The Eden Valley-Watkins baseball team got a chance to play a few innings last week. On Thursday, May 11, the boys played Royalton in a twin bill, and the result was a split decision. The Eagles pummeled the Royals in game one, 21-4. However, they used up too much of that offensive power and fell to Royalton, 8-6 in the nite-cap. Friday brought a game with Osakis, and the EV-W boys prevailed in that one, 7-3.

Game 1

In game one with Royalton, Xander Willner got busy at the plate, knocking four hits in the 21-4 victory. Willner singled in the third, singled in the fourth, singled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth. Geislinger was the winning pitcher for EV-W. He worked five innings, allowing two hits and four runs, while striking out five and walking one. Stanwick threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
