EV-W celebrates Sno Daze

Sno Daze is in full swing this week at Eden Valley-Watkins High School.

Following a variety show, Princess Mya Anderson and Prince William Ballard were crowned in the coronation ceremony Monday afternoon, Jan. 22. There were 10 candidates, all juniors, contending for the title of Sno Daze prince and princess: Ellaree Anderson, Mya Anderson, William Ballard, Max Geislinger, Riley Geislinger, Olivia Kramer, Hope Molitor, Mitchell Lipinski, Zoey Schmidt, and Dylan Walz.

Four sophomores served as attendants: Alton Baune, Samantha Larson, Samantha Rettman, and Tyler Schutz. And four freshmen also served as attendants: Ivy Anderson, Carter Kaminskie, Colton Lang, and Paige Stommes.

Dress-up days are perhaps the most notable difference during Sno Daze. Dress-up days this week are: White Out Monday, Tropical Tuesday, PJ Day Wednesday, Class Color Day Thursday, and Jersey Day Friday. See a photo of the full 2024 Sno Daze court on page 16.

SOAR activities are scheduled for each day during Sno Daze as well: Monday Dodgeball, Seniors vs Sophomores; Tuesday, Dodgeball, Juniors vs Freshmen, and National Guard activity; Wednesday, Dodgeball, 7th grade vs 8th grade; Thursday, Dodgeball Consolation Game; Friday, Dodgeball Championship Game.

Ironman Competition begins at 5th hour Thursday.

Sporting events for the week include(d): Monday 7 p.m. Varsity boys’ basketball vs KMS; Tuesday 7 p.m. Varsity boys’ basketball vs Paynesville; Thursday Wrestling Quad at 5 p.m., Varsity girls’ basketball at 7 p.m. vs ACGC, Varsity boys’ basketball at 7 p.m. at Holdingford; and Friday 7 p.m. Varsity girls’ basketball vs Paynesville.
