Saturday, May 6, was a great day to play two ballgames. So that’s just what the Eden -Valley-Watkins baseball team did: they took on Maple Lake and swept the Irish, 12-2 and 12-5. It was a 21-hit parade for the Eagles as they cruised through the double-dip victory.
Game 1
EV-W scored seven runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was driven on singles by Nistler and Dockendorf, an error on a ball put in play by Stanwick, and a double by Geislinger. Landon Neiman earned the win for Eden Valley-
Watkins; he went five innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out five and walking zero.

The Eagles swallowed up the Irish, 12-5. Coltant Harff was the winning pitcher for Eden Valley-Watkins; he worked six innings, allowing four hits and four runs, while striking out seven and walking one. Eagles’ hitters saw the ball well, racking up nine hits in the game. EV-W stole nine bases, and two players stole more than one; Neiman led the way with four.
