The Eden Valley Watkins FFA chapter celebrated agriculture this week at school. Students participated in dress up days, noon activities, and a medallion hunt. FFA members served a pancake breakfast to the high school faculty members Monday and drove their tractors to school Friday. We will continue our celebration Tuesday, March 25, in honor of Norman Borlaug?Äôs 100th anniversary of his birth. (Norm was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970 for his contributions to world peace through increasing the global food supply).
The Eden Valley-Watkins High School agriculture students will be learning about the green revolution and enjoying birthday cake in honor of Norm Tuesday. The FFA members will be hosting an ice cream social for FFA members and their families after school from 3:12-4:30 p.m.
