The Eden Valley-Watkins squad celebrated Senior Night last Friday, Feb. 24, with a nifty 61-57 victory over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa. Their efforts earned the Lady Eagles a perfect 15-0 conference mark and a bye in the looming sectional playoffs. The faithful gathered at Johnson-Peterson Gym and witnessed the Eagles shoot out to a 14-point advantage in the second half. However, the Jaguars had plenty of fight left in them and clawed their way back to within just one point with under a minute remaining. EV-W sophomore Emma Schultz nailed a couple of key free-throws in the waning seconds to seal the win.
