Eden Valley-Watkins is enjoying a great season, and playing back-to-back days last week resulted in even more jubilation.
The girls dominated Maple Lake, 57-25, Friday, Feb. 10.
They laced them up again Saturday and took on a formidable Perham Yellowjackets team at the Alexandria Winter Lakes Classic and swatted the Jackets, 63-37. The Lady Eagles turned up the defense and hit the boards as they cruised to the victory.
Eden Valley-Watkins took early control with a 16-4 run; only to see Perham cut it down to seven. But the Eagles trumped the Jackets?Äô effort and pumped the lead back to a dozen, following a Mandy Molitor three-point buzzer-beater. The Eagles (19-3 overall) sealed the contest on a 20-3 second-half explosion.
